Pathways to Progress is an immersive, learner-centered educational game that transforms traditional career exploration into an active, cooperative classroom experience. Designed for students in grades 6 and above, the game encourages players to discover their professional alignment within Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) industries using the O*NET RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional) interest framework.
Rather than focusing solely on financial accumulation, success in Pathways to Progress is defined by personal growth, skill acquisition, and professional advancement. Teammates must collaborate to solve unexpected technical challenges, manage operational budgets, navigate regulatory inspections, and invest in specialized certifications to climb the career ladder from entry-level workers to advanced industry leaders. By bridging classroom learning with authentic workplace scenarios, this game empowers students to visualize their future potential, build critical core competencies, and chart their own unique pathways to progress.
