The partnership consists of Universities which are quite experienced in implementing Erasmus activities and those that are less experienced in Erasmus projects. It also encompasses Universities that can contribute different expertise in the partnership. For example DOBA is a University with more than 20 years of experience in delivering online learning. University American College Skopje has strong ties with the companies from the Business Council and a number of activities related to collaboration between academia and industry in providing practical experience to students. The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka has vast experience with implementation of various projects related to enhancing the employability of the students. University Angel Kancev has experience in a number of internationally funded projects. The current partnership will enable the partners to further develop their activities in the field of the circular economy and better prepare the students for the future.
University American College Skopje
The University American College Skopje is an integrated university offering a variety of majors from multiple disciplines. UACS considers itself a Third Generation University – University independent of Governmental support, mainly teaching in English, and operational on a regional or global market. We have international accreditations such as: ACBSP, ACCA and double degree with the University Tor Vergata of Rome. The lead schools for this particular project will be the School of Business Economics and Management. The School of Business Economics and Management, University American College Skopje, North Macedonia is organized as a unique complex institution comprising smaller organizational units such as departments, chairs, research center etc. for appropriate scientific fields and laboratories.
University of Rijeka
The University of Rijeka is the fundamental educational and research institution in the western part of Croatia. With a total of 12 faculties and 4 departments, 12 specialized research centres, with over 161 study programmes it is a research, science, and education-oriented university that supports social and economic development in its community, the City of Rijeka, and the wider region. The University of Rijeka has over 16600 students, over 1700 employees, and almost 1000 researchers. The University of Rijeka was the first Croatian University to set a development strategy. It focuses on excellence, quality assurance, life-long learning, active collaboration with the local community & economy, and active inclusion into the EHEA & ERA. Since 2019, UNIRI is a member of the E+ European Universities Initiative: Young Universities for the Future of Europe and from 2021 the member of the Young European Research Universities Network. The University of Rijeka is the first Croatian University to have developed a Gender Equality Plan.
DOBA Faculty of Applied Business and Social Studies Maribor
DOBA Faculty of Applied Business and Social Studies Maribor is an independent private HE institution from Slovenia established in 2003. It is a modern business school dedicated to the development of innovative individuals and eLearning. It offers 11 study programs on bachelor, masters, and doctoral level in the areas of Marketing, Business and Management, Social Services, Lifelong Learning and Applied Psychology. The programs are offered in four languages and are delivered in an online study mode. With an annual intake of about 1500 students, DOBA is the largest online education provider in Southeast Europe. It has 18 staff members, 87 teachers, and 119 online mentors. DOBA holds the honour of being the first - and for now the only - Higher Education Institution in Southeastern Europe to receive the UNIQUe international accreditation for quality in e-learning, which is awarded by EFQUEL (European Foundation for Quality in e-Learning). Student holistic support model was recognized as one of DOBA’s main strengths.
University of Ruse ''Angel Kanchev''
University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" is an autonomous state higher school. It was transformed with a Decision of the People's Assembly of 21 June 1995 and is a successor of the higher technical school, established in Ruse on 12.11.1945. There are eight faculties in the structure of the University: Agrarian and Industrial Faculty, Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering Electronics and Automation, Faculty of Transport, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Public Health and Healthcare, three Branches of Ruse University in Silistra, Razgrad and Vidin and a Bulgarian and Romanian Inter-university Europa Centre.
