Meet ReBag, your new favorite fashion accessory
On June 8th 2023, as part of the Erasmus+ project- Leaders of the Green Economy, a Competition of the second year students, on the topic of Creating a Business Idea related to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, was organized.
18 teams of students presented very inspiring, creative, and visionary ideas, making it difficult to choose a winner. Even though all of the teams were amazing, one team stood out the most. The winning team had a unique innovative idea, an already made product and a complete financial and operational vision.
We congratulate Jana Lokvenec and Sofija Ognjanovska on the inspiring idea, ReBag.
“FosiBag is a crochet bag business that uses a 100% recycled t-shirt yarn. We use fabric waste or fabric scraps that would otherwise be thrown out to produce our products. The vision of the company is to contribute to waste reduction and produce sustainable fashion items, whilst at the same time proving to people that you can be eco-friendly and stylish at the same time.”- Jana and Sofija’s testimonial.
Corporate Social Responsibility challenge for the business major students from the University of Ruse, Angel Kanchev
At the beginning of March 2023, the "Management and Social Activities" Department issued a challenge to the students of the "Business Management" major (4th course) in the context of the "Corporate Social Responsibility" discipline they were studying.
Those wishing to get involved had to form teams themselves and choose and study a business organization chosen by them, which adheres to the principles of the green and/or circular economy in its activities to the maximum extent.
An essential element that aimed to stimulate the creativity and innovation of the students was the requirement that the collected information be presented in the form of author's video material.
The winning team had the opportunity to travel to Rijeka for the Bootcamp.
We congratulate Victoria Mitsova, Damiana Sotirova and Polina Trifonova on their remarkable win and well-done work.
