How to Build Unity as We Grow in Size and Strength
Liberty Christian Academy (LCA) is not only a school, but also a family growing together. To grow, everyone has to help where they are needed and also be unified in one purpose. It is a school that has been growing for seventeen years, and needed more space to grow. Now sit tight and hear the background of a school building tied to Christ.
LCA was started by a group of parents who decided to give their children an opportunity to get a Christian education. The school began in the north building, which was the main building at that time. In August 2005, the high school moved to the larger building, and later in August 2006, the elementary moved over. The north building was turned into storage in 2007 and eventually shut down, but God had a plan for this building.
Because the school had been growing, the board determined they were going to need more space. As God brought more people to Liberty Christian Academy the students were growing out of the main building. To solve the problem, the administration had an idea to renovate the north building. The school had been trying to bring back the north building for the previous four years. God provided the motivation and resources to renovate. These last two years, the school administration has been working to rebuild the north building into a high school. The board initially took out a small business loan and God provided many donations along the way. Several small fundraisers brought money in as well. The Covid Funding, which was given by the state as an emergency relief fund during COVID-19, went into the furniture and technology.
There are many to thank for the new building. Rebecca Baur, the parent in charge of the renovation, and many others helped move furniture in, build walls, and cleaned the building to bring it to code. Most of all, praise to God, who brought LCA together in unity and worked through many to do great things.
