Sustainability:
Sustainability, for me, means teamwork for the greater good, not being greedy, being mindful of the future and what you have now. Being sustainable means that you have something that is stable and is possible to live off of. For example, having $5000 in monthly fees and working a minimum wage job is not sustainable, you will eventually go bankrupt. But having a $2000 monthly fee, and working at a job that pays $20/hr+ will be very sustainable. Me and my friend go fishing, this would go under the social part of the 3 pillars, everytime we catch fish, we throw it back because we are only doing this for fun, this can effect the profit we make which is food for our family. I think that profit is very important to have a sustainable future, this is because money runs the world and if you dont have money, you dont really have much. When i think of sustainability, i think of Skills inc. Skills inc employs people with disabilities and this would go under the social pillar. Skills inc does what it can to reduce as much waste as possible, what i like about skills inc is that their profit goes back into the company, not one drop is taken from any of the directors.
Industry 4.0 is a way to the future, all of these practices are rapidly evolving and will shape what our future will look like. Industry 4.0 has affected me via my 3d printer. Ive been able to create so many things whether that be towards something useful, or cosmetics and decorations. I think 3d printing will change the future, this is because i have a factory at the palm of my hands, i can create whatever i would like. Industry 4.0 will help change the world and keep sustainability possible in many ways, for example, 3d printed food will be able to eliminate hunger in some countrys. Robots can be used to make shelters like the 3d printed houses for the homeless.
Mechatronics is computers, electronics, mechanical and control all into 1. Its very important because they are strong by themselves, but if you mix them together they can do alot. If you are well versed in mechatronics you are in high demand everywhere. Siemens is like the general electric of the world, they can make anything mechatronnics. I have no idea if i came in contact with a siemens product, most likely have.
With engineers operators and technicians, for example, the engineer can have a design flaw that isnt very suitable for the operator, this can happen because usually the engineers havent touched any of the machines. Or maybe the operator is doing something that a technician wouldnt.
