Objectives

This course will provide an introduction to computer science and technology.

• Students will create projects related to computer science and applications in school and society.

• Students will document their experiences in a journal and present their work in a portfolio.

• Students will share their interests related to computer science and applications in their lives.

Grading

Students will complete short group projects. Students will document and post results in a class journal, portfolio and website.

100 total points

• 40 points - projects

• 40 points - journal

• 20 points - portfolio

Make-up/Extra Credit

• 2 points each - student led tutorials

• 2 points each - extra project with journal entry

Attendance Policy

Attendance is mandatory. Students must sign an attendance sheet and login to their computers daily.

Schedule

25-35 contact hours in 5-7 visits 9:00- 2:00 with a 30 minute lunch

Location: AFRL NM STEM Outreach, Zuni Classroom

The FUSE Makerspace will be available for class projects as requested.
