LAH Studios was the brainchild of Lusy Koror (formerly Lusy Decoursey) in 2013. Initially a blog to showcase artists' work in London, it quickly evolved to be a whole community. From there Lusy Koror moved to Malaysia, growing her collective across all of South East Asia. Lusy built a collective that ran workshops and events, starting with joint event with Roxanne Williams of Crazivity. As they ran one event simultaneously in London and Penang, with over 200 visitors in George Town, and a spot on the Asian Food Network, they realised that there was potential for the group.
Initially called We Are Artists, the group eventually was renamed after the successful project "Little Art House", which started in 2015.
However there were several projects before the Little Art House, that helped WAA grow in popularity. These included the Akulusy International Art Camp, a collaboration with Penang Artist Koh Teng Huat, residencies with Fliss Quick and Helen Jones, and the 1st Annual Showcase which happened in London.
