We have several awards available for the recognition of adult volunteers within the district. Units are encourage to recognize volunteers using these awards as well as training awards.
This award is to recognize that adult volunteer selected by a unit as their most valuable scouter for the year. The details of the selection are left up to the unit, and the award is presented annually to the leader named on the selection form submitted by the unit.
Most Valuable Scouter Award Selection Form
This is the highest award the district has for adult recognition. Presented annually, recipients are selected from nominations received by the committee.

This award to recognize adults for service to the district. It Is presented annually, and recipients are selected from nomination forms received by the committee.
Lackawanna Award nomination form
Scouting recognizes volunteers for 5, 10, 15, and beyond years of service at 5-year intervals. These are based upon an application from a volunteer, listing their service record in Scouting.
The Silver Beaver Award is the highest award the council can bestow upon a volunteer. It is handled separately through the Laurel Highlands Council and not through the district. You can find more information about the Silver Beaver Award at the council's Adult Leader Awards page.
There are also several Religious Emblems available to recognize adults who are affiliated with the faith of the award, most are handled as nominations to the leader's religious institution. We are not involved in that process other than to provide basic information and to offer our congratulations to the recipients.
