A 4-day workshop to discuss the principles and applications of electron microscopy for biological samples with hands on experience. We will cover sample preparation, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), image analysis techniques, and applications for AI.

Coffee, drinks and lunch will be provided.  

Application Criteria: 

• Applicants that wish to participate must apply by June 15, 2026. Accepted applicants will be notified of acceptance by July 1, 2026.

• Applicants must be an undergraduate, graduate student, postdoctoral fellow or research staff in a Kentucky institution of higher learning. 

• Applicants must be over the age of 18.

• Applicants must be able to provide their own transportation. Parking fees will not be reimbursed by the workshop.

• Applicants must be able to bring a laptop with a keyboard and mouse (no tablets or desktops) and install a specified list of software prior to the workshop. The list of software to be installed will be made available upon acceptance into the workshop.
