Since last week I have managed to take on board what I was told as well as the decisions I made. As such I have managed to improve upon my previous design using the points and notes I had made last week. I have managed to clean up how I wanted my creatures head as well give it a proper mouth. I have also taken steps to move away my character being a plant creature and back to the 'roots' of the myth, a monstrous beast of flesh and blood.
I have also completely redesigned the legs of my beast, making them a bit beefier and also giving my beast a proper foot design which I based on an actual deer with some modifications.
I am quite happy with the redesign personally though it will be interesting to see how it will look once I have it modelled in Zbrush.
Now that I have a completed general design I need to go into full depth with it. I need to draw the different body parts such as the hands and nails in full detail. Are they sharp/ jagged? Is the skin smooth/ wrinkly? the texture of the bone and vines? The core? The feathers? The leaves? The scarring?
These are all things that I need to fully expand on. As well as this, I need to complete a full turnaround for my completed design to use as a reference when I am crafting my character in Zbrush.
I also need to produce a schedule for myself. I have to have a completed model by week 12. I am falling behind and need to catch up, a schedule should go a long way to keep me organised and on track.
