This section highlights my expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, and educational technology integration. My faculty development workshops are strategically designed to move beyond tool mastery, focusing instead on empowering educators to apply best practices in curriculum design and online pedagogy. I develop and deliver targeted training that enables faculty to seamlessly integrate critical institutional platforms—including the Canvas LMS, Panopto (for rich media and video learning), and YuJa (for content accessibility and Universal Design for Learning)—into their teaching. These workshops ensure faculty not only gain the technical proficiency needed to master essential tools but also meet and uphold high institutional standards for quality, engagement, and accessibility in their courses.

AI and Accessibility (Google Slides)
Unlock the potential of AI in creating accessible digital content, but remember that these tools are still evolving. Best practices for using AI in the classroom emphasize double-checking AI-generated outputs—these tools can be imperfect and often require oversight. While AI can assist in generating accessible content, it may take several renditions to meet accessibility standards, making it time-consuming in some cases.
When working with images and videos, remember that generative AI struggles with complex elements like hands and eyes, which can result in inaccuracies. Crafting effective prompts is also key, as it takes time and practice to fine-tune them for the best results. AI can be a powerful tool, but achieving full accessibility often requires human intervention and refinement.
