Membership

Section 1. The KTAA is open to all residents and seasonal visitors to Kuwait.

Section 2. The KTAA shall not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, creed, age, disability, or marital status.

Section 3. Dues 

Membership is obtained at the time of payment of membership dues which are fixed on an annual basis by the Executive Board. 

1. Members are granted full access to all activities of the KTAA.

2. The dues shall be paid the first month of the season (September). 

3. There is no reduction in dues for mid-year registration. 

4. No Refunds Policy: KTAA operates with a strict "No Refunds" policy. Membership and workshop fees are non-refundable, regardless of circumstances.

 Members obligations:

1. Membership is open to anyone interested in any aspect of quilting and fiber arts.

2. Members should be respectful and welcoming towards individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. 

3.  No Idea Theft: Members will not steal or appropriate the ideas, creative work, or intellectual property of other KTAA members and present them as theirs own. Respect for each member's contributions is essential.

4. Fair use of resources: Members should use the organizations resources, such as equipment, material, library books, in a fair and responsible manner. 

5. Participation and involvement: members are encouraged to participate in KTAA events and activities. 

6. Members are encouraged to embrace a spirit of goodwill by volunteering and donating time in promoting a learning environment while also improving various skills and techniques.

7. No Commercial Advertising: Members may not engage in commercial advertising or promotional activities targeted at fellow KTAA members. The guild is a space for sharing and collaboration rather than commercial promotion.

8.  No Soliciting: Members must refraining from any form of solicitation, including but not limited to financial requests, sales pitches, or invitations to external events, within KTAA's online and offline spaces.

Visitors may attend one meeting and pay a 3KD fee. After this time, visitors will be invited to join KTAA. Visitors fees do not transfer to membership fees.
