FIRST Lego League Explore

A fun and engaging introduction to STEM for young learners

WHAT IS FLL EXPLORE?

FIRST LEGO League Explore is designed for students in grades K–4 and introduces the fundamentals of STEM through hands-on building, coding, and teamwork. Using LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential kits, students explore real-world challenges while developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence.

In FLL Explore, students:

Build and program LEGO models
Explore real-world themes through guided challenges
Work as a team to solve problems
Share what they learn through presentations

HOW IT WORKS

Each season is based on a new theme that connects STEM concepts to real-world topics. Students work in small teams with coaches to explore the theme, build models, and create a team poster to showcase their ideas.

At the end of the season, teams participate in a fun, non-competitive event where they share their work and celebrate their achievements.

WHY START WITH EXPLORE?

FLL Explore is the perfect starting point for students who are new to robotics and STEM. It builds foundational skills while keeping the experience fun, supportive, and age-appropriate.

FIRST Tech Challenge
FIRST Robotics Competition

WHAT STUDENTS GAIN
