Making Sculptures
After looking at the sculptures made by Antony Gormley, the children made a sculpture of a human. They loved seeing the bed made of toast! There are definitely some budding artists in Year 2!
Building Bridges
The children looked at different structures and then built a bridge that would be strong enough to hold an object. Was your child's bridge strong enough?
Science: Living, once living, never been alive
We looked around school and found objects that were living, were once living and those that had never been alive.
History- old and new technology
All of the children in Key Stage 1 have been learning about technology and how it has changed over the past 60 years.
We looked at how music players, telephones, written communication and the internet have all changed how we do things. The children loved playing with old telephones and especially liked seeing an old 'Boombox' and tuning in an old radio!
