The Three Muskateers
The whole of Key Stage 1 loved watching the theatre company performing for them- what a treat!
Art
After looking at the work of artist Antony Gormley, the children created their own sculptures, using newspaper and foil- they were very creative!
Building bridges & looking for signs of autumn
This term in DT we looked at structures and focused our attention on bridges and how we could make a bridge to hold a given object. We used our science knowledge of materials to work out how to make the paper stronger and more rigid too.
We also looked for signs of autumn and the changes that occur during this season.
History- old and new technology
All of the children in Key Stage 1 have been learning about technology and how it has changed over the past 60 years.
We looked at how music players, telephones, written communication and the internet have all changed how we do things. The children loved playing with old telephones and especially liked seeing an old 'Boombox' and tuning in an old radio!
