Etiology

Pathology

1. 1. Blood vessels dilation

   2. Inflammatory cells infiltration

   3. Mucosal swelling

Symptoms

1. 1. Fever

   2. Headache

   3. Pharyngeal dryness

   4. Pain while swallowing

Complications

1. 1. Otitis Media

   2. Sinusitis

   3. Acute Respiratory inflammation

   4. Acute Nephritis

   5. Rheumatic fever

Treatment

1. 1. Rest in bed

   2. Anti-biotics

Chronic Pharyngitis

• • Diffuse inflammation of pharyngeal mucosa & submucosa & pharyngeal lymphoid tissue.

Etiology

1. 1. Local Factors

      1. Repeated relapse of acute pharyngitis

      2. Bad irritants

   2. General factors

      1. Anemia

      2. Dyspepsia

      3. Chronic Respiratory disease

      4. Cardiac vascular diseases

Symptoms

1. 1. Sore throat

   2. Irritation
