• 1st stage - Confined to epidermis ‘in situ’

• 2nd stage - Invasion of papillary dermis

• 3rd stage - Filling of papillary dermis

• 4th stage - Invasion of Reticular dermis

• 5th stage - Invasion of Subcutaneous tissue

1. 2. Breslow’s staging - Depending on depth of tumor invasion

• 1st stage : less than 0.75 mm

• 2nd stage : 0.75–1.5 mm

• 3rd stage : 1.51–2.25 mm

• 4th stage : 2.26–3.0 mm

• 5th stage : more than 3.0 mm
