Thinking back on my classes from 2nd semester as a future nurse leader I will apply all the things I have learned by the following:
In Community and Population Nursing, I gained an understanding of the significance of health disparities and promoting health equality. As a nurse leader, I recognize the importance of advocating for powerless groups and addressing social determinants of health. Human Resource Management in Healthcare provided insights into recruitment, retention, and staff development. As a nurse leader, I will prioritize creating a positive work environment and fostering staff professional growth and high retention rates. Nursing Ethics highlights the importance of ethical decision-making. As a nurse leader, I will uphold ethical standards set forth by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), advocate for patient rights, and navigate complex ethical issues in healthcare settings. By fostering a culture of integrity and ethical awareness (CNO, 2023). Nursing Informatics 2 enhances healthcare information systems and data analytics, enhancing clinical decision-making and data management with electronic health records, maximizing patient care delivery and results. Practical leadership solutions were offered by Nursing Leadership in Practice. I will motivate and empower teams as a nurse leader by utilizing my communication, collaboration, and change management abilities. by applying evidence-based techniques to identify the optimal course of action for enhancing health outcomes.
In conclusion, I gained important knowledge and skills. I intend to use these ideas as a future nurse leader to address health disparities, promote staff growth, preserve moral ideals, make use of informatics technology, and encourage excellence in nursing practice. My goal is to develop the nursing profession and enhance healthcare delivery by embracing lifelong learning and integrating theory into practice.
