Privacy Policy

This document outlines how the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb – Ivana Lučića 3, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia; Department of Information and Communication Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”) – processes your personal data.

This privacy policy applies to all personal data collected and processed in the context of the conference Missions in Motion: From Service to Empowerment in the Era of AI and Digital Capitalism, organized as part of the KRIK project. Personal data collected through the conference website and related forms will not be published nor used for purposes other than organizing and implementing conference activities, including communication with participants and dissemination of conference-related information.

You provide your personal data voluntarily for the above purposes and thereby give your clear and unambiguous consent to its processing. The data collected are necessary for the organization of the conference and will not be used for any other purpose without your explicit consent. If you choose not to provide the requested data, the Organizer may not be able to process your registration or participation.

You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time, without adverse consequences. Upon withdrawal of consent, your personal data will no longer be processed and will be deleted or securely destroyed in accordance with the Organizer’s internal policies, unless there is a legal obligation to retain certain data.

Your personal data will not be routinely shared with third parties. In cases where data sharing is necessary for the organization of the conference (e.g. technical service providers), this will be done in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and only to the extent necessary.

Your personal data will not be transferred to third countries or international organizations.

The Organizer will process your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data were collected, in accordance with applicable legal and institutional data retention policies.

We store personal data in a secure environment. Your data is protected against unauthorized access, disclosure, use, alteration, or destruction. Data may be stored on the Organizer’s premises, within institutional IT systems, and on the servers of trusted service providers who ensure appropriate data protection standards.

We take all reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to ensure that your personal data is kept secure and accessible only to authorized persons.

The conference may be photographed or recorded for documentation, reporting, and promotional purposes related to the Organizer and the KRIK project. Participation in the event implies consent to such recording and use, unless explicitly withdrawn.
