Hi! I am a daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, tutor, reader, and life-long learner. I graduated from Trinity International University with my Bachelors in Secondary Education in Mathematics. I also minored in Psychology, completing courses that would help aid in my teaching career. After graduating from TIU, I began working at Wauekgan High School and just completed my 6th year in the district!
At the start of my 5th year of teaching, I felt the desire to pursue a masters program around technology in education. My district became a 1-to-1 chromebook district the previous year, and the idea of getting a masters that would enable to the use of technology in my classroom was important to me. Thus, I began the TIE program through the educator track at National Louis University.
I am very excited to make use of my Master to help prepare my students not only in the mathematics content, but to also develop their 21st century skills. Technology is at the forefront of all job skills, and through this program I have learned an abundance of new ways to engage and interact with my students.
