A. Evaluations
This Manual contains a comprehensive set of evaluation materials (see Annex #2-5) to measure the overall impact of the workshop at three different levels:
Level 1: Pre-post Training Assessments
The objective of this level is to determine if participants have successfully learned the intended material from the training. At this level, you should be able to:
Administer Pre-Training Assessment: Administer a quiz or test before the specific training course content or lecture topics, setting the baseline for each participant's knowledge and skills.
Administer Post-Training Assessment: Give the same quiz or test after the specific training course content or lecture topics.
Conduct Data Analysis: Evaluate changes in baseline knowledge by comparing pre-training and post-training assessment scores.
Level 2: Observation Checklists/Grading Forms
The objective of this level is to monitor participants during practical exercises to assess their understanding and application of skills. At this level, both you, the facilitators (if applicable), and the participants should be able to:
Conduct Observations: Using a checklist or grading form, assess the skills and behaviors of participants during practical exercises.
Provide Feedback: Discuss the observations with participants and provide constructive criticisms.
Level 3: Workshop Evaluation
The objective of this level is to assess the participants’ insights and feedback on the content, delivery, materials, and overall experience of the training. At this level, you should be able to:
Distribute Evaluation Forms: Provide participants with a feedback form or survey immediately after the training.
Analyze Response: Compile and analyze the data from the evaluations to identify common themes or areas for improvement.
B. Scorecard Review
You will release a scorecard to participants at the end of the workshop. This scorecard compiles their grades across the key evaluation areas of the workshop. It contains the following sections:
Pre-post test scores: shows initial knowledge level and how much the participant over the course of the training session
Practical activity scores: reflects performance in the hands-on activities, demonstrating participants’ ability to apply learnings to practical scenarios
Trainer Feedback: provides participants with qualitative feedback from the trainer
Recommendations: provides participants with targeted recommendations for further learning
Participant Self-Reflection: provides a space for participants to reflect and develop a plan to act on areas for improvement
