We review and update all policies to comply with CDC, VDH, VDOL, and OSHA requirements as needed that may help prevent exposures to any respiratory illness in non-healthcare settings and to increase the safety of training at the Dojo per our current policy (June 2024). Masks are optional but welcomed if a student feels they need to wear one.
About the Introductory Aikido Course
This course introduces you to the Aikido dojo (place of training), and Aikido as a practice. If you were ever curious about trying a martial art or Aikido specifically and wanted to experience some of the benefits Aikido practice and a little bit of Japanese culture, this introductory course is a great option. Each class includes Meditation, Basic Movements, Conditioning, Etiquette & Japanese Vocabulary. We start you at one day per week and build up to two days per week.

If your vaccination status is unverified, or you are not yet fully vaccinated, you will not be allowed to train. Virtual Saturday classes may be an option depending on level of enrollment.
