Parade of a Hundred Demons

From October 1st to October 31st

The Parade of a Hundred Demons is a month long festival that is often held within the cities and villages of Japan, where spirits walk, run and play through the streets. There is much folklore and legend that surrounds such an event, and many have claimed to seen real, live spirits, ghosts and ghouls on these nights. What once started as a rumor, has now spread into a country wide celebration, where many will gather together to celebrate the spirits that have passed, eat, drink and celebrate in their honor. Then, once night falls, parade through the streets in costumes and masks, honoring the spirits.

Although the Kodai have not been naturally raised on human culture, most have become accustomed to how the citizens live and function, and they find themselves partaking in the festivities. Kodai now often look forward to this holiday yearly, and will descend down from the mountains to the human-held festivals, or will hold their own, and host gatherings with their friends and family.

The 2025 Kodai Parade of a Hundred Demons will consist of this Quest and an Import Raffle!

Fullbody, Colored, Background (With at least 3 Elements)

800 Words (+200 for an extra Kodai)

If you do not yet have a Kodai of your own, you may enter with a Demi-God, though you must have an activity tracker set up for us to post your rewards on. 

Max 2 Kodai per entry

Other Kodai may be featured in the entry, but they will not get the Quest bonus, or be rolled for the Quest Prizes. If more than one Kodai features the Quest bonus and forms, you will be asked to correct this in the queue!

Art/Lit does not have to be made by the owner (But to qualify for the raffle, there must be an entry made by the player entering the raffle)

Collabs allowed

(Both participants must have a Kodai rolled for the Quest. No more than 2 Collab participants per piece)

Preparations 

The Parade of a Hundred Demons is a highly anticipated holiday for all… though in order to celebrate, you need to prepare! 

Draw or Write your Kodai preparing for the holiday. Are they hanging decor on shrines? Perhaps they’re in the city helping humans with baked goods? Maybe they’re too busy eating the snacks that have just been made?

Costume Party

There’s no Parade without costumes… so it’s time to get to work! 

Draw or Write your Kodai prepping a costume for the Parade! Are they going as a ghost? Are they wearing strange make up? Did they decide the scariest thing to dress up as is a human?

Ghost Hunters

Rumors have been running wild about a real ghost and ghoul pair being spotted in the shadows between all the market and festival tents. Spotters are adamant that the spirits are in the image of Kodai with wispy, translucent fur, and believers say that the spirits are ancient Kodai from long ago. Skeptics say it’s just Kagetsu and Haruka having a bit of fun scaring the locals. 

Draw or Write your Kodai hunting down the “ghosts”. Do they find ancient ghosts? Or was it a myth the entire time? Or was it perhaps a passed loved one you've been longing to see all year?

Homebody

Perhaps your Kodai is less enthused with the idea of leaving the peaceful human-free terrain of Ryūjin Hausu, but still want to celebrate the holiday in their own way. 

Draw or write the way your undoubtedly wild Kodai decides to set up and enjoy the Parade of One Hundred Demons. Do they set up a shrine for their ancestors using all that nature has to offer? Perhaps they collect delicious berries and prey to enjoy with others?

Uh-Oh Spookio

Not all plans go to… well, plan. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much you plan for something, things don’t turn out the way you hoped. All Kodai have experienced this at some point! 

Draw or write your Kodai dealing with some preparations or something that has gone wrong! Did something eat all the offerings they left? Did rain damage all their decorations? Perhaps they even forgot to do something?

Prizes

Each entry will always receive one Spirit Shard + a randomly rolled additional prize from the pool below!

Import Raffle

All players that enter into the quest will be able to enter the below import raffles. One quest entry is required per raffle entry, and you can enter once per import.

You must link a rolled Parade of a Hundred Demons entry from your tracker as your raffle ticket proof. This will be the rolled prize result of the quest, not the JP roll. 

You must have made the entry yourself in order to qualify for the raffle you're entering for.

This means that you can enter for two imports if you make a quest piece with two of your own Kodai being rolled for rewards.
