Teaching and learning are the core to what makes me, me. I am a passionate educator with a wide array of experiences that have helped to make me the teacher I am and the life-long learner that I continue to be. I earned my undergraduate degree in education from Texas State University in 2014, from there I went on to teach at the school I served in for my student teaching in Dripping Springs. There I taught 3rd grade for 3 years. During that time I supported growth and change throughout the school, leading on a variety of different technology and instruction professional development sessions. I also was the technology support for my team and earned the honor of Teacher of the Term.
After some time I found myself itching for more opportunities to grow and began my journey into the graduate program for Educational Technology. Simultaneously I began on a new path for my career as well, accepting a position as a teacher at Long-View Micro School and as an Instructional Specialist for The Number Lab.
My role at Long-View has pushed me to grow as a communicator and collaborator where I am specializing in mathematics education and supporting my team in student artifact collection and analysis. On the teacher facing side of our company I support educators as they come through our training process, create teacher resources, manage and create digital content including running social media outlets and working with my team to create new experiences to better support educators globally.
Through my graduate school experiences I have continued to grow my personal skills with technology and have worked to help support my team and learners with innovative uses of technology that bolster the learning experience.
