Summer Semester 2025


Many people are willing to behave prosocially, for example to engange in climate protection, animal welfare, fair trade, etc. In this seminar we want to discuss how prosocial behavior is affected by market interaction. Why do people engange in prosocial behavior? Do markets crowd out morals? How should markets be designed to promote prosocial behavior? Does prosocial preferences of consumers, workers, and shareholders affect the behavior of firms?
