For this course, the assignment was to create a slideshow introducing myself as a recently hired Educational Technology Coordinator. The objective was to thoroughly inform everyone who I will be working with what they can expect from me and about my job title. From research and readings from our book, I formulated a slideshow with content that I felt would be important for viewers. I was excited to complete this assignment because I wanted to get an in-depth understanding of all that an Educational Technology Coordinator does.
It was challenging for me to set boundaries on what should be expected for me as an Educational Technology Coordinator because that job description could vary in other places. As an Educational Technology Coordinator, I believe an introductory slideshow would be beneficial for everyone involved. This is because if that information is shared promptly, it can open an avenue for smooth communication. It can also set expectations and standards to and from the EdTech coordinator. Also, from peer standpoint come, it can get your coworkers some insight on your personality.
