EDTC 5310 is the introductory class for the program. My favorite assignment came from our lesson on Podcast. For this assignment, we were instructed to create a podcast for that could be used in a classroom. I choose to create a Podcast that would be used for daily discussions. In this lesson, I explored my creativity in the arts through music and problem solved my way to creating my first podcast.
One requirement for creating the blog was that we had to use a computer application to record and edit the needed audio. I created the podcast using GarageBand on my MacBook because it was already installed on my computer and I was familiar with the program. Although I was familiar with the program, I still had some challenges while completing the assignment. My podcast not only consisted of me speaking but it also included intro and outro music.
Creating and editing the intro and outro music, arranging the volume of the music, and syncing my voice over with the music was challenging but also very rewarding. I now know how to successfully complete all those tasks using GarageBand, which I can use to teach others.
This podcast was exported to SoundCloud then embedded on my blog created for class.
