During the mobilities we will visit important historical places, the mines and have agricultural excursions. Through the Geocaching tour, the cooking and folk evening, students as well as teachers work together in international groups and get in touch with our European cultural heritage through learning and doing.

The students of each participating school create a Geocaching tour through their city or region. They decide which places to choose for the cache. In each cache you can find a log book where you can sign and a hint which is part of coordinates to find the last cache and a QR-code which is linked with information about the sight and its historical background and socioeconomic significance for the region created by the students. The last cache can only be found if you have collected all the hints of the previous caches. To be able to choose the information provided through the QR-codes the students have to do research. These Geocaches are created to remain on their places and to be accessible for anyone who is willing to find them.

This guide provides information about the historical background and the present significance of the presented topic. On special places we will place QR-codes that are linked with this information. Anybody who passes a QR-code by chance can scan it and get direct access to the information provided. The QR-codes as well as the Geocaches will remain permanently and surpass the project. Therefore we have created sustainable contributions to the cultural heritage in our regions and its socioeconomic significance and we provide a very modern approach to European cultural heritage.

A sustainable side effect and result of the cooking event is that we produce short videos for Youtube and social media platforms showing how to cook traditional dishes of each participating country and providing the recipes. These videos and recipes are accessible to the public. These results contribute to our multicultural European lives. By using social media, videoconferences before each mobility and the lesson plans the students will on the one hand get to know each other before they actually meet and on the other hand they will be well prepared for what to expect in the meetings.
