Improve the whole system (horse and rider as one functional unit)

Are You Dealing with Age-Related Pain & Stiffness?

Do You Want to Improve Your Performance?

Both you and your horse can experience the power and profound benefits of our holistic treatment approach. A more comfortable, successful riding experience is possible for rider and horse.

Once you get on your horse, your movement influences theirs and their movements influence you. You two become, in essence, one functional unit.

We currently have 3 options to help you optimize your and your horse's movement:

Our Feldenkrais In The Saddle (FITS) group lessons are a good way to feel how minute changes in your movements have an immediate effect on your horses freedom of movement so that you can improve your and your horse's performance no matter what your riding discipline.

Our Horse AND Rider Movement Optimization workshop will provide you AND your horse with a chance to feel your habitual ,movement patterns and strategies to optimize your movements both separately and as a functional unit.

3. Individual Movement Optimization Session:

By working closely with both the horse and the rider, Catherine effectively addresses issues for both partners with the goal of improving the biomechanics of the horse-rider unit as a whole.

The key to a higher quality of movement is not simply improving how you or your horse move but by analyzing the horse-rider component collectively. As an experienced physical therapist, Feldenkrais practitioner, equine rehabilitation specialist, and a lifelong equestrian—Catherine is uniquely qualified to help both you and your horse feel better in and out of the saddle.

Your movement patterns on the ground have an impact on your riding and vice versa. The initial assessment, as well as the treatment, will be conducted both in and out of the saddle as the root causes of any impediments to comfort and performance are uncovered and resolved successfully.

Combining Physical Therapy, the Feldenkrais Method, Myofascial Release, Kinesiotaping, the SUREFOOT equine balance program  and the Bemer enables Catherine to go beyond just treating an injury. She is able to facilitate better movement and enable you to continue riding your horse safely and comfortably for as long as you want.
