Every year, Rose-Hulman President Rob Coons and the Cabinet release a lighthearted, often whimsical, holiday video to connect with students, alumni, and the campus community while recapping the biggest stories of the year. Through my graduate assistanship at Rose-Hulman, I loved the opportunity to write the script for the holiday video, collaborating with the Communications & Marketing team to create a highly anticipated season's greetings.
One of the biggest challenges of persuading people to give philanthropically is helping them to visualize the impact that they can create. I developed a video series for use in Indiana State's Annual Giving and Stewardship communications that framed giving in a creative, tangible manner relevant to world events. From ideation to production, I directed these storytelling features sent to 200,000 alumni and donors.
The Joyful Giving series aimed to foster a culture of philanthropy at Indiana State by highlighing individual donors, their passion for giving, and their impact on the lives of students. I developed the storyline of the videos, selecting the stories to feature and coordinating the logistics, including working with a local media company, to bring the vision to fruition.
