Market Days & Times

Q: When are the markets open?

A:Last Sunday of every month between 7.00 a.m. and 11.00 p.m.

Parking

Q: Is there off-road parking available?

A: Yes. Just enter the Railway yard site and find a space.

Bringing animals to the markets

Q: Can I bring my pet to the market?

A: Absolutely, but dogs must be on a lead. We are a small local market that caters for our own local people, as well as those travelling through.

Travel Times

Q: How far is Kilkivan from the Sunshine Coast?

A: Kilkivan is approximately 1½ hours north-west of the Coast via the Bruce Highway then west along the Wide Bay Highway.

Q: How far is Kilkivan from Hervey Bay?

A: Kilkivan is approximately 1½ hours south-east from Hervey Bay.

Stalls

Q: How Many Stalls do you have?

A: At present we only have a few stalls but hope to attract more as people come into the town. We also welcome out-of-towners. There is one selling fresh produce which is all locally grown. A cake and information stall - run by us to raise money for the project - with a sausage sizzle, coffee, tea and chat also available. We also offer full breakfast for those who aren’t in a hurry. We are always open to any one who wants to run a stall through our markets.

Amenities

Q: Are there public toilets available?

A: Yes, we do have a toilet on site. Also, there are public toilets in the RSL Park (next to the entrance to the railway yard), as well as the Lions Park (some 600 metres east of the Markets).
