These are lessons I've taught during my student teaching experience.

Gesture Figure Drawing

I did this lesson at the start of the trimester with new students. This lesson was made to develop student's drawing skills and introduce them to observational drawing. This lesson now only develops student's drawing skills, but instills good artistic habits; such as practice drawing, doing timed exercises, and persisting when developing a new skill. I emphasized to students that these sketches weren't meant to be perfect, but meant to practice and make mistakes. Above is student work and to the right is the lesson plan.

Art Analysis Lesson

This lessons builds off an I See, I Think, I Wonder activity. There students looked for the Elements of Art in an image. For this lesson, students are building off those skills to learn how to analyze and interpret art. To the right is the lesson plan and above is student work.

Guernica Analysis

This analysis activity builds upon skills in the previous 2 analysis activties. Students first use their persnoal background knowledge to interpret the artwork. Then, students make a 2nd interpretation after reading an article on the creation and ourpose of the work.

Ivan Brunetti Sketchbook Covers

We did this lesson plan at the start of the new trimester. These covers are for student's sketchbooks, to create a feeling of ownership with them. This lesson also acts as a "get to know me" activity. Students looked at my example and pointed out things about me, only using the visuals on my example. I was able to get to know students from what they out on their covers. On the bottom right are student works and on the bottom left is the lesson plan.
