Broadcast Journalism has never been my specialty, but I have done a few projects for The Wolf Howl and in my past Digital Communications class. I am looking forward to growing my portfolio in broadcasting as more opportunities arise. That being said, I am proud of how far I have come compared to when I started in 2023.
My Movie.movThis podcast was filmed in December of 2023, which was my sophomore year. It was my first experience creating a visual story, and Bella Dana, a junior year reporter at the time, chose to work on it with me. The podcast is not my best work, but looking back I am proud of what I created when I barely knew how to edit.
Wolf News Template-Kiley Jacobson.mp4Throughout my junior year, I was enrolled in the Digital Communications course at my high school. I was one of the few that excelled in this course and was chosen to put together a video announcement that could be played every morning. I took what I learned from the podcast and tried to trim tigether more audio and make different slides to give a better visual, rather than just my voice the entire time.
Untitled-3.mp4Finally, I made a promo video for the Chandler High vs. Basha High State Championship Game on December 5, 2025 in preparation of the game to take place on December 6, 2025. I was very proud of the final result of this video because it took me a long time to figure out how to string music, audio from various clips, videos, photos, and text all together. I want to do more work like this in the future and I am looking forward on improving my skills in Broadcast Journalism.
