Freshwater is the only form of water that humans are can drink. Unfortunately, this freshwater makes up a very small percent of the 70% of the world covered with water- only 2.5% is freshwater. Though this fact, only 1% of that water is easily accessible, making only 0.007% of Earth’s water available to use and drink for day-to-day needs. The problem here is that humans are using too much water. As an example, the average hamburger takes 630 gallons of water to produce, and a lot of that water could be used to provide people with clean drinking water.
