Lunch bunch is an extracurricular program offered to children in Yellow Ducks, Green Frogs, and Gold Fish on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school. The program runs for 1 hour from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Families have their children attend lunch bunch on days they attend school. Children who come five days may attend either Wednesday or Thursday or both.
Lunch bunch is designed to provide children the opportunity to further their social and interpersonal development. Children eat their parent-provided lunches with their peers and teachers. Teachers work to moderate conversations with the children to extend their social development in developmentally informed ways. Lunch bunch also is a great way to help children achieve autonomy by practicing skills such as cleaning up after themselves, opening containers, and time-management during eating.
The cost for lunch bunch is $50/month/day attended. Lunch bunch is capped at 12 children per day.
