In the spring of 1993, the Education Commission of Arvada United Methodist Church authorized a subcommittee to look into the feasibility of offering a preschool program housed within the church. In January 1994 the Education Commission presented a proposal to the Charge Conference calling for the church to provide a half-day program for preschool age children. The Charge Conference approved the proposal and set up a Board of Directors to govern the program's operation.
Kids' Discovery Days began in March 1994 as a state-licensed early childhood program with an enrollment of 12 children ages 1 through pre-kindergarten. Today, we have five classrooms and an enrollment of nearly 100 children ages 1 year and walking through 5 years old.
Kids' Discovery Days has been nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1995.
