SLO-5 (Plate Tectonics)

For this presentation there was an earthquake activity where the class was separated into groups and they had to build a structure in order to see if they will survive an earthquake.

In this activity, the students had the ability to see how plate tectonics works with some frosting and crackers. The crackers worked as the tectonic plates and the frosting is the magma. This demonstration really puts into a visual aid for the students to see how different boundaries have different outcomes.
