The Korean-American Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (K-HFES) was founded in 2019 and was officially recognized as an Affinity Group within HFES in 2022. It serves the human factors and ergonomics community by supporting scholars and practitioners of Korean heritage in North America, including the United States and Canada.
K-HFES consists of professors, practitioners, and researchers in academia, industry, and government sectors.
Members of the K-HFES work in the fields, optimizing the effects of individuals, societies, organizations, and tools on productivity, safety, and health in humans' working environment, daily life, and leisure activities.
Promote the influence of researchers and practitioners in the fields of human factors and ergonomics.
Foster collaboration and job search activities between researchers and practitioners in the K-HFES and affiliated organizations.
Plan and present student awards to improve students' research motivation and ability.
Discuss the development of society through regular online and in-person meetings.
Provide webinars to promote member education and participation.
Provide a mentoring program to reinforce rich learning and development for both mentees and mentors.
