Welcome to the Korean-American Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (K-HFES) Affinity Group!
We are thrilled to have you here! K-HFES is a dynamic and growing community of North American professionals and students of Korean heritage who are passionate about advancing the field of human factors and ergonomics (HFE). Founded in 2019 and officially recognized as an HFES affinity group in 2022, our community has grown steadily and surpassed 100 members by 2026, a testament to the energy, commitment, and excellence of our members.
At K-HFES, our mission is to share, expand, and elevate educational and scientific knowledge in HFE. We do this through engaging meetings, interactive webinars, and collaborative events, both virtual and in person, open to all members. These activities are designed to spark new ideas, strengthen professional connections, and foster meaningful collaborations that contribute to the diverse and evolving landscape of HFES.
Supporting the next generation of HFE professionals is central to our work. Each year, our mentor-mentee program connects students and early-career professionals with experienced leaders in the field, creating opportunities for guidance, growth, and long-term professional development.
As an HFES Affinity Group, K-HFES is deeply committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. We strive to build a welcoming, supportive, and empowering community where all voices are valued and all members can thrive.
On behalf of the entire K-HFES community, thank you for your interest and support. We warmly invite you to join us, collaborate with us, and be part of our shared mission to shape a more innovative, impactful, and inclusive future for human factors and ergonomics.
Warm regards,
Heejin Jeong, PhD
