DECEMBER 2025 #11
DECEMBER 2025 #11
2025 was not a highlight-reel kind of year. it was a real one.
There were moments of momentum, moments of doubt, moments where things worked out beautifully – and moments where they absolutely did not.
And somewhere in between all of that is where the real learning happened.
this year taught me that growth rarely feels clean. It was usually met with the uncomfortable. It shows up in the form of conversations I didn't plan for, mistakes I wish I could redo, and decision that only make sense in hindsight.
I learned that leadership isn't about having all the answers – it's about being willing to sit with the questions longer than feel comfortable.
I learned that people don't need fixing – they need space, clarity, and someone who actually listens.
I learned that consistency matters more than intensity. Showing up when things are quiet is just as important as showing up when things are busy.
I also learned that not every effort pays off immediately, or ever – but every effort taught me something. Some things work and some don't. Some plans changed mid-process. And instead of seeing them as failures, I started seeing them as refinement.
Refinement of process.
Refinement of priorities.
Refinement of who I'm becoming.
Most of all, 2025 reminded me that relationships outlast results. The conversations, the trust, the mutual respect – those are the things that actually move people forward, including me.
So as the year comes to an end, I'm less focused on what I achieved and more grateful for what I learned, about people, about leadership, and about myself.
And it feels right as we step into 2026.
