Q1: What is the difference with Glorious Engrammer?
TailorKey is built for flexibility—whether you want to customize it to fit your needs or simply copy its features to create your own layout.
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to optimizing your workflow. The build-in GUI behaviors have huge benefits!
Included: Cursor, Symbol, Gaming, Mouse and RGB capability + Glove80 default QWERTY key layout
Some Glorious Engrammer elements were thoughtfully excluded to keep the experience crisp and clean: Less is more!
GE Layers not adopted by TailorKey
Numbers Layer: numbers are available on the Lower Layer
Function Layer: function keys are available on the Base layer
System Layer: overlap with the Magic layer
Emoji and World: both Windows and macOS have OS features for these
Some combos that we feel are specific to Sunaku's workflow have been left out, but combo are very easy to add with the GUI.
Q2: What are the changes in the latest version?

Q3: There is a delay when I press a key #HRM
The home-row mods use a hold-tap mechanism, which introduces a slight delay to distinguish between a tap and a hold. This delay is minimal and shouldn't noticeably affect your typing speed (WPM). To make sure it's not related to bluetooth, try an USB cable.
See HRM tuning guide as here. If you want more optimization, see this.
Possible cause because some experience this? Some reported USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 and disable powersave

Q4: Backspace and Space do not repeat, register multiple backspaces when held #SPACE #BACKSPACE
A: This behavior matches the implementation in Glorious Engrammer exactly.
Both Backspace and Space keys are configured to activate Layers when held, using hold-tap behaviors (&thumb for Backspace and &space for Space), each with its own hold-tap timer.
Backspace can auto-repeat when tapped twice quickly and held.
Space does not auto-repeat because the original developer, Sunaku, uses the Symbol layer heavily, and auto-repeat interfered with his Symbol layer use.
If you want repeat behavior, here are your options:
Adjust the hold-tap timer for the &space hold tap to make it behave more like the Backspace (&thumb) key.
Preferred: Use Backspace and Space from the Symbol layer, where they do support repeat on hold. Hold space and hold L will auto repeat space.
Q5: Is there a guide that explains all the layers and shortcuts for TailorKey?
A: TailorKey is my personal layout that I share with the Glove80 community. TailorKey is a native implementation of Glorious Engrammer, so you can also refer to the GE documentation for additional details. Benefits of GUI Behaviors.
The TailorKey webpage provides a very visual documentation of TailorKey. You can find a shortcut guide here.
Q6: I’ve read the webpage and the Glove80 guide, but I’m still confused about switching layers.
A: I’ve deliberately disabled real layer switching for most layers. For example, the Cursor and Symbol layers require you to hold the key to access them—you cannot switch to them permanently. This was done to reduce confusion, especially for new users.
I have limited &to (permanent layer switching) to only OS1, OS2*, Typing and Autoshift layers, as shown on the number row in the Magic layer. If you want a visual indicator of layer switching, enable RGB lighting with PR36 —you’ll see that Autoshift turns the keys yellow.
Q7: I’m only interested in certain parts of this layout.
A: Simply copy the layers you need. Check out this video for guidance.
Q8: Why does this layout put modifiers on both the home row and the thumb cluster? #HRM
A: TailorKey adds home-row mods to the default Glove80 layout, as an advanced example. But you can change the thumb keys to whatever you prefer.
Q9: I want to add RALT
A few options:
A: Add a simple key combo (e.g., W + S and O + S) that activate RALT.
B: Change the S HRM layout and swap LALT with RALT.
Note1: You can add your most used characters to keys with &kp RA(x) where x is your key.
Note2: &sk RALT sticky right alt could also be interesting
