These are my personal notes - last updated on May 18, 2025
The Glove80 keyboard has adjustable legs with special threaded inserts in the feet, which means you can attach it to surfaces like a table or stand by using the feet like bolts. MoErgo provides a 3mm thick adapter plate that makes it easy to connect the keyboard to standard camera tripods.
This way, you can use regular, sturdy equipment to create your own custom setups, like mounting the keyboard on a wall or chair. The legs are designed to be adjustable, so you can arrange the keyboard at different angles without making it taller or bulkier.
See MoErgo Docs on Custom Mount.

A C-clamp (or D-clamp) is a tool that can be used to securely attach things to a desk. It’s often used for cameras and other equipment because it’s stable and easy to use. The clamp has a screw that tightens to hold it firmly on the edge of your desk. It works with different desk thicknesses and has threaded holes (1/4 and 3/8) that fit many types of mounts.
Why is it better? A C-clamp holds things more securely than other clamps and is less likely to move or damage your desk. It spreads the pressure across a larger area, so it won’t leave marks or dents. Other clamps, like crab or super clamps, might not grip as tightly, especially on thinner desks.
In short, a C-clamp is a solid, versatile option for most desk setups.

A magic arm is a flexible tool that can be used to mount and adjust items like your Glove80 to a desk or chair. It can bend and move to any angle you need, and the joints lock in place to keep everything steady.
For example, a 10-inch magic arm gives you enough reach to position your keyboard comfortably, without taking up much space or needing a big stand.
Tip: Use spring washers to prevent joints from rotating inward and becoming loose. They’re designed to keep fasteners secure by resisting rotation.

Screw in your desk
Mason —My new setup. First time mounting a keyboard. I used thin plywood under the Glove80 sides and then used MagSafe connectors to connect to the arms. It works great. Lots of control over angles and positioning. In addition I can trade between the Glove80 and my ZSA Moonlander easily. Thanks to those on this board for giving me all the ideas I used to make this.
Vertical Pole
theblenderer — Look, I had an idea! Maybe this has been thought of before 🙂 I really like the feel of it, currently using a mic stand wedged under my desk but thinking of getting extendable shower curtain rods for this (for both home and work). Clamps are Smallrig
A chair mount connects your Glove80 keyboard to your chair, holding it at the right angle while you sit. This setup helps you type more comfortably, providing better support and reducing strain on your hands and wrists.
To secure your Glove80 to pipes or armrests, use a Crab Clamp, also known as a Super Clamp.
A crab clamp, or super clamp, has a small jaw that grips things very tightly. Because the jaw is small, it focuses all the pressure on a small spot on your desk. This can leave marks, scratches, or even cause dents because the pressure isn’t spread out.
A C-clamp, on the other hand, has a wider jaw, which helps spread the pressure more evenly across the desk. This reduces the risk of damage and helps keep your desk safe.

The Solid Chair Mount (pole mount) is an excellent choice for those seeking a stable and reliable chair setup. Personally, I use it too, and I love how its sturdy build keeps the chair completely steady with no wobbling. It provides great support, making it both comfortable and secure to use.

The camera screw is slightly thicker, so make the hole a bit wider to screw it into the quick-release base.
Don’t use normal screws—see the accessories section below to learn why and how camera screws are different!

Warning: A cheaper and lighter alternative but also less solid and rigid.
The hinge moves smoothly and must be mounted horizontally (see pic), which means you won’t have vertical adjustment. (VIVO Steel Universal Full Motion Pole).

The thread used for attaching a camera to a tripod is typically a 1/4 inch diameter with a finer thread pitch compared to normal screws. This specific size and design ensure a secure and stable connection, tailored for photographic equipment, whereas normal screws vary widely in size and pitch for general purposes.

The screw used to attach a camera to a tripod is a special type. It’s different from the screws you might see in everyday use. The key difference is the thread—the grooves on the screw. Camera tripod screws have a specific thread size: they are 1/4 inch in diameter, with 20 threads per inch. This finer thread helps create a tight, secure fit that keeps the camera stable.
Regular screws come in many different sizes and thread patterns and are made for general use, not for something as precise as holding a camera steady. If you tried to use a normal screw, it might not fit properly or hold securely.
The special thread on camera screws is designed to be strong and reliable because it needs to support the weight of the camera without slipping or coming loose. That’s why these screws are different—they’re made specifically for this job, ensuring your camera stays safe and stable on the tripod..

Just placing a MagSafe on the bottom of the Glove80 (without a plate) is not a good idea:
It is not at the centre of gravity
The palm rest is not supported. If you use the palm rest unsupported, that will actually void the warranty
Addional note on magnets: Since it's less solid than the camera mount, there's a higher risk of it accidentally falling off. It can also rotate while mounted.
What if you accidentally knock it while walking away from your desk?

And the rest from amazon: Ugreen magsafe ahesive ring(goes on the outer side of the of the plate), neewer st-ccd1 desk c clamp, and 9" st08 magic arm. Took about 20mins to assemble after arriving . Easy to attach and detach and can more easily vary the angle of the mounting plate easily . And when loosening the magic arm screw you can move around with ...many degrees of freedom as it has joints at the ends plus angle is adjustable between both parts of the arm

The threaded-rod leg system also allows for custom mounting without requiring modifications. The feet include threaded inserts that can be used as a built-in mounting system.
