Former KES Eagle, Vivian Reyes, retuned to Kingston to collaborate with her 5th grade teachers, share her presentation, and lead a diplomacy and engineering activity with students as part of her Engineering 3 Magnet course at Adairsville High School. We welcomed Vivian back with open arms as she encouraged teamwork, problem solving and and understanding of global cooperation!
Third grade is digging into their vermicomposting PBL and getting some real-life application into learning about gardening and utilizing food waste for good!
Vermicomposting expert Jim Humphries spoke with third grade students about vermicomposting and its benefits. Mr. Humphries helped our students build their vermicomposting bins.
Our STEM committee sent out a STEM community letter to ask for STEM partners asking for parents and other stakeholders to help support our STEM initiatives by sharing their STEM careers with our students.
Our students have had the wonderful opportunity to have many experiences and interactions with many individuals who are engaged in STEM careers!
