2.6 Investigative Research

Our second graders participated in the pollinator census at the beginning of the year as a part of their year long PBL. They will continue to track and record their observations of pollinators in our area throughout the school year. 

Our third graders are conducting investigative research on composting, specifically their wormy composting bins they have in each individual classroom. Students will be collecting data on waste production in the classroom and around the school. The students have been designing and building their very own vermicompositing bins. 

Our first graders are conducting observations of our various plants around our school property and documenting their observations in their STEM journals. They will be collecting this observational data all year long to chart the differences in the plants from season to season.
