Alsalam Initiative.

There are more than 61,000 Sudanese refugees registered across the country. The government, UNHCR, and partners provide protection and assistance to these individuals who are part of the 1.8M refugees who call Uganda home. Al Salam (which means peace in Arabic) group is an initiative created by the youth of the camp of Kiryandongo in Bweyale, Uganda to support children by creating activities in painting, poetry, music, and dancing to help the children to express more and learn more and share the Sudanese culture, to help them to get out of the aftermath issues and to have the space to have fun and play while learning more about each others cultures and traditions as they are from different places from Sudan.
