Teaching Portfolio

Hello! My name is Kelsey Weber. I'm thrilled to return to Special Education after spending a few years teaching Kindergarten and 5th grade in general education classroom.  I am currently teaching in a resource room at Irene-Wakonda Elementary.  I graduated from Augustana University in May of 2017.  From 2017-2023, I taught several grade levels in a General Education Classroom with Modifications as a Special and Elementary Teacher at Children's Home Society of South Dakota Loving School.  I have taught Kindergarten for the Sioux Falls School District. I also taught at McCook Central in Salem as a 5th Grade teacher. I believe in creative lessons plans, realistic expectations, data informed decisions, and daily social and emotional learning. I use my neuroscience and a trauma-informed background to support students in the classroom.
