An initial survey was distributed to the LVAD community in order to glean as much information as possible regarding the specific clothing wants and needs of this population.
The initial survey was meant to measure market data and gauge the reception of the clothing line. When utilizing the results, both the negative and positive feedback were taken into consideration prior to moving forward with the design and development of the initial pieces of the clothing line.
The concept presented to survey respondents was the idea of an affordable line of clothing for both men and women, specifically designed with the LVAD placement and equipment in mind.
Because there are existing LVAD clothing pieces available for purchase already on the market, this question followed the question of whether or not respondents had ever purchased any clothing made for LVAD patients, their reactions, and how likely they would be to purchase the new concept being presented.
