COLLABORATORS
Over the many years of my career in performance, I've been blessed to be a part of many organizations and collaborations.
In the years between my choir days and now, I became more of a soloist, finding my footing and style primarily through busking. In the last few years, I fell into step with a group of homies that adopted the moniker "happy planet krew". The krew has since been "dormant" or in the liminal phase of a caterpillar's life, in a manner of speaking. I'm excited to see what form HPK will evolve into in 2023.
In 2020, I connected with ciscles, a local DJ and music producer in an organic way, led by intuition and heart pulls. We came together at Sasamat Sound Studio in Kitsilano to create, time and time again. Through this ritual and frienship, we created an EP project together named "feeltherain". Creating this body of work with ciscles, opened my mind to the world of collaboration in a way I hadn't experienced before. I'm looking forward to making more art with him as well as being open to future one-on-one collaborations such as this.
In the last several months, I've been blessed to encounter a group of incredibly dedicated, talented and hard-working individuals that comprise the core team of Icon Hiphop. These homies have put together something truly special, a hub and gathering place for the underground hip hop community of Vancouver.
