Kaya started songwriting at the age of 10. Classically trained in violin from the age of 5, they have a deep relationship with and understanding of music. A choir kid, Kaya loved karaoke and musical theatre and has sung since they were a toddler.

They picked up the guitar in grade 3 and it quickly became their "main thing". With the help of this instrument, Kaya has written countless songs in the last 15 years.

From singing and dancing to entertain their family as a child, to performing in the Vancouver Children's Choir, Kaya's experience in the realm of performing arts dates way back to their early years of life.

Since that time, they have performed in Musical Theatre at Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance summer camp, The Corelli Strings Orchestra and more.

In the last few years, they have performed solo at venues such as the Museum of Anthropology and the Wise Hall.

In the last 9 months, Kaya has been expanding their creative efforts into the realms of Electronic Music Production and Audio Engineering, with the help of SAE Institute Canada.

Finally, so many of those songs so fondly and often strummed and sung live will be produced and released to the ears of listeners.

Having performed for so long live, Kaya has accumulated a fanbase that has been patiently awaiting their favorite songs.

Now that Kaya has been learning and exploring the many careers in the audio industry, they are confident that they can amplify and offer much knowledge and help to any type of event or live performance setting.

Whether they be on stage or behind at front of house behind the console. Or even simply stage-handing or running snacks to artists, Kaya is a happy and humble addition to any team looking to curate, host and promote events.
