Cement Bamboo Frame Technology (CBFT) is an innovative, accredited building system developed by Base Bahay Foundation, combining:
Load-bearing treated bamboo
Flattened bamboo slats (sa-sa)
Reinforced metal connections
Wooden frames
Cement mortar plaster
The result? Climate-smart housing that’s proven to outperform many conventional materials in the Philippines.

CBFT modular kits are made to order and built to fit your purpose and budget.
Starter Kit (14 sqm) includes:
Wall Panels: 6 prefabricated treated bamboo and wood frames with flattened bamboo and chicken wire mesh
Roof Panels: 4 prefabricated treated bamboo frames with wood fascia boards on the sides
Frames: 4 wooden door and window frames
Foundation Hardware: Steel dowels and vapor barrier tape for the concrete plinth beam
Assembly Hardware: Epoxy-painted nuts, washers, and pre-cut threaded rods for easy panel installation
Open Sala Expansion Kit:
Treated, prefabricated bamboo purlins and roof panels.

How to build with the CBFT kit?
Prefabricated structural elements lower your overall expenses and speeds up your construction timeline.
Step 1: Schedule a 30-minute consultation with us to discuss your project. Share your drawings or ideas, and we’ll help you choose the CBFT kit that best fits your purpose and budget.
Step 2: If needed, we can connect you with trusted architects and contractors. Once your design team is in place, review the plans, finalize finishes, and get site-specific estimates from your builder.
Step 3: Apply for and secure your building permit.
Step 4: Begin on-site construction with your builder or local panday—including the concrete slab, plinth beam, cement hollow brick foundation wall, and footings.
Once the site is ready, the entire structure goes up in just two days.
Step 5: Install the prefabricated modular panels.
Step 6: Complete the cement plaster finish, roofing, and flashing.
